The British Shorthair
The typical British Shorthair is a quiet and even tempered cat. They are a good family cat and enjoys playing, but there are also time when the British likes to be left to it's self the think about things.
The British does not go in for living-room acrobatics like, for example the Siamese and it's voice is quiet.

British Shorthairs are notable for their intelligence, and this enables them to fit in easily with the daily pattern of the household, not objecting too much at being left alone.

The body type of the British Shorthair is classic cobbey, broad-shouldered, muscular and powerful, it has a full broad chest, strong legs and a level back.
The paws are neat, well rounded and firm. The tail is short, thick at the base and tapering to a round tip.
The Head is broad and round, on a short solid neck, especially noticeable in a male.
The ears are small and rounded and the eyes are large, round and level and should have a wide awake expressive look.
The coat of a British is short, crisp and dense, fine texture, not lying flat with a good indercoat.

The British Shorthair have a wounderful temperament and are very go with the flow type of cat.
